Stillnot sure?
Everything people ask us at the counter, answered here first. If yours is not below, call the shop — we would rather talk than have you guess.
Insurance & Cost
Paying for it
Yes. We work directly with all major insurance companies and can help you through the claims process to make it as stress-free as possible — including supplements, adjuster negotiation and rental car coordination.
No. By law you only need one estimate, and you can choose the repair shop you trust. Your insurance company cannot force you to use a specific shop.
Yes — free, in writing, and with no obligation. You do not need an appointment; bring the car during opening hours or send us photographs from your phone.
Plenty of people do not. On a smaller repair the deductible plus the premium increase can cost more than the job. Tell us and we will price it as a private repair so you can compare properly.
On an insured repair, your deductible — we bill your carrier for the rest. Anything outside the claim is quoted separately and never added without your say-so.
Timing & Logistics
Getting your car back
It depends on the extent of the damage. Small jobs may take 1–3 days, while larger collision repairs could take a week or more. We give you a clear timeline up front and tell you as soon as anything changes — including when a back-ordered part is the hold-up.
Yes. Call us and we will arrange towing to the shop and a rental car through your policy, usually the same day.
Not for an estimate. For drop-off we prefer to book you in so the car goes straight onto the schedule rather than sitting on the lot.
Yes — by phone or text, whichever you prefer. You should not have to chase your own car, and our customers say so in their reviews.
The Repair
How the work is done
It means the manufacturer has inspected this shop — the technician training, the equipment, the written procedures — and approved it to repair their cars. CBS is a Mercedes-Benz Preferred Collision Repair Center and a BMW Certified Collision Repair Center, and is certified by General Motors, Kia, Hyundai and Alfa Romeo. See the certifications.
No — we repair all makes and models. The certifications set the standard we hold ourselves to, and we apply the same discipline to every car that comes through the door.
Yes. We take a spectrophotometer reading from your actual panel rather than trusting the paint code alone, spray a test card, check it in daylight, and blend into the adjacent panels so there is no hard edge.
Our preference is OEM or manufacturer-approved parts, and on structural or safety components we will make that case to your insurer. If a carrier insists on an alternative, you will hear it from us before it is fitted.
Any driver-assistance system disturbed by the repair is recalibrated, and the vehicle is scanned before and after. A modern bumper or windshield is part of the safety system, not just a cover.
Limited lifetime warranty. CBS Auto Body warrants the repairs against any defects in materials and workmanship for a limited lifetime, including defects arising from improper installation, paint, and/or defective parts. It is voided if you no longer own the vehicle, if another shop attempts to repair the vehicle, or if the vehicle is in another collision in the same place we repaired it. Read the full warranty.
